Locking adapter for German Army Zodiac protective suit

Two locking options for your Zodiak

The Locking Adapter for the Bundeswehr Zodiak protective suit attaches to the designated closure points of the suit and creates a mounting point for a suitable lock or locking system.

You can choose between two versions:

• for small padlocks
• Segufix-compatible

Once the selected system has been closed, the corresponding closure point cannot be opened while the locking system remains secured.

Adapter on. Lock closed. Locked in suit.

The two versions

Small padlock

This version is designed for small commercially available padlocks.

The padlock is not included.

Segufix-compatible

This version is designed for use with a suitable Segufix-compatible locking system.

It is not an original Segufix product. The locking system is not included.

Set sizes

The adapter is available in several quantities:

• 1× adapter
• 2-piece set
• 4-piece set
• 6-piece set for a fully closed suit

A fully closed Zodiak protective suit requires 6 adapters.

Use

The adapters are attached to the designated closure points of the Zodiak protective suit.

Once correctly positioned, either a small padlock or a compatible locking system can be fitted depending on the selected version.

Before first use, we recommend a dry run without creating a locked situation so that positioning, the required number of adapters and operation are familiar.

Material & manufacturing

The adapters are 3D printed from PLA.

Fine print lines and small manufacturing variations may be visible. This is a normal part of the 3D printing process and not a defect.

PLA is not suitable for high temperatures and should not be exposed to high heat, direct sunlight or open flames.

Padlocks, Segufix-compatible locking systems, protective suit and any other accessories shown are not included.

Using the adapter with a lock or locking system may prevent the suit from being opened independently.

Use only in safe and controlled situations.

Do not use when rapid or independent opening of the suit could be required for safety.

Check the fit and condition of the adapters and the selected lock or locking system before every use.

Do not use in hazardous, medical, occupational or other safety-critical situations.

When used with fully or largely enclosed suits, adequate airflow, temperature and the physical condition of the wearer must always be considered.
